June Week 1: Easy Review Activities

Hey there teachers!

Check out these fun activities to spice up your lesson review with your mini Spanish geniuses! Choose from the options provided below to suit your vibe. Short on time? No worries! Just by showing the digital lesson you will still be rockin' that Spanish teacher status!

1. June Calendar time: 10 Minutes

Supplies Needed:  June calendar. Use your classroom calendar or print off the June calendar to the left.

Now you can turn calendar time into a bilingual bonanza! Show your students the June calendar. Encourage them to count in English, then in Spanish from 1-30. Next, play the Spanish in June (Numbers 1-30) audio file to spice up the counting activity!

Turn this into a student led activity and you will have kiddos competing to be called on!  This is how it goes down in my classroom: I like to let students take turns holding my "magic wand", come to the front of the class, and point to numbers 1-10 as we sing along with the audio file. Then I pause the song and that student picks another student who is quiet to hold the magic wand and come up and point as we sing numbers 11-20, and a third student gets to point to numbers  21-31 as the entire class sings the numbers along with the catchy tune! Who knew numbers could spark such a lively classroom jam session? Repeat this activity everyday, giving more children at turn to be your help!

2. Toddler Number Fun: Count and Dot!

This is an easy, adorable activity that toddler teachers can print and use immediately!

Little learners will practice numbers 1–10 in Spanish by coloring, dotting, or adding stickers to each number. This simple hands-on activity is perfect for toddlers and helps reinforce counting while developing fine motor skills. Add the audio files and count together for even more fun!

How It Works:
  1. Teacher says the number in Spanish: “¡Uno!”

  2. Children repeat.

  3. Children color or place stickers on one dot.

  4. Continue through 10.

Why Toddlers Love It:
  • No reading required.

  • Strengthens fine motor skills.

  • Reinforces one-to-one counting.

  • Uses stickers, dot markers, or fingerprints.

  • Easy and mess-free.

Extra Fun Ideas:
  • Use animal stickers.

  • Finger paint the dots.

  • Place mini pom-poms on the circles.

  • Count aloud together: “Uno, dos, tres…”

🎵 Bonus Movement Activity: “Jump and Count”

After completing the sheet, call out numbers in Spanish and have toddlers:

  • Jump 3 times.

  • Clap 5 times.

  • Stomp 2 times.

  • Spin 4 times.

3. Make Number Flashcards: 20 Minutes Per Set

Supplies Needed:  Download, make copies, and cut flashcards. One set per student.

In May, the spotlight was on numbers 1–10 with flashcards, but if time slipped away, no worries! This week is the perfect opportunity to jump into the exciting world of numbers with your students.

Depending on your students’ counting skills, you can explore numbers 11–20, 21–30, or even 31–40! Let the numbers come alive as your students create and color their own Spanish flashcards.

Simply print the flashcards and show students how to fold each card in half so the numeral appears on one side and the Spanish number word is on the other. You can leave them connected in a long strip or cut them into individual cards. Students will love coloring the number words and practicing their counting in Spanish!

Get those brains buzzing with números in the classroom, with friends, and even at home! Play the audio files so students can sing along and practice each set of numbers with confidence and joy. 🎉 🔢 🇪🇸

3. Goodbye Song: 5 Minutes

A fun way to end every Spanish lesson, and even the school day is by singing the YouTube song Adiós by María Fernanda y Sus Amigos! The song repeats four times, which gives children lots of chances to practice and join in with confidence.

Before you begin, show your students the simple motions for each part of the song. Adding actions makes the song more exciting, helps children remember the words, and gets their bodies moving.

  • Preschoolers and older: Stand up and do the motions.

  • Toddlers: Stay seated and act out the movements with their hands and bodies.

By the fourth time, your students will be smiling, singing, and saying “¡Adiós!” like little Spanish stars! ⭐🎶🇪🇸

To give you an idea of how you can teach the Goodbye song in your class, watch the two short videos that show teachers singing and acting out the song with their students.

Song Lyrics:  Adiós Amigos, Adiós

The song repeats four times. The first time, sing it at a normal tempo, the second time, sing it slowly, and the third and fourth times, sing it quickly.

Adiós amigos adiós *wave then clap clap*

(Goodbye, friends, goodbye)

Adiós amigos adiós *wave them clap clap*

(Goodbye, friends, goodbye)

Es hora de partir (Ace OH-dah deh pad-TEER)

*point to watch or clock

(It’s time to go)

Adiós amigos adiós *clap clap* *pat pat* *clap clap*

(Goodbye, friends, goodbye)

Whoo whoo! *twirl fingers in air
