NOVEMBER week 2: EASY breezy Review
Now it’s Your Time to Shine!
Get ready for fun, easy review activities to reinforce Spanish from the digital lesson. No Spanish? No problem! You and your students will pick up new words quickly. Try one or both of these activities—let the adventure begin!
1. PEPE EL PAVO: A Super Fun and Easy Number Game! (15 MINUTES)
Your students are going to have a blast practicing numbers 1-12 with Pepe el Pavo (Pepe the Turkey)! This activity is a fun, hands-on way to reinforce counting in Spanish.
Here’s how it works: Download and print the pictures of Pepe and his numbered feathers below. If possible, laminate them so you can use them again and again. Tape Pepe to the wall at your students' height, and let the fun begin! Lay feathers 1-12 in a row on the floor in front of your students. Play the audio file below "Numbers 1-12 Practice" and point to the numbered feathers as you count to 12 in Spanish has a class.
Next have your students take turns taping the feathers onto Pepe, matching the numbers and saying each number in Spanish. By the end of this activity, you’ll have an adorable, fully-feathered turkey—and your students will be smiling and counting in Spanish like pros!
P.S. This activity is easy to adjust depeding on the age of your students. I hand the feathers to toddlers. However, when teaching older students, I lay the feathers on the ground and they have to find the right feather based on the number I call out in Spanish. They take turns attaching the feathers on Pepe who is taped to the wall.

Your students will be just as proud as these kids, after making sure Pepe gets all his feathers in the right place!
2. La Macarena Dance: 15 MINUTES of fun! 😊 🙌 🎉
Kids and adults alike can’t resist dancing to "La Macarena"! In this short, upbeat video, I’ll show you how to teach your students this super fun dance while practicing counting to 12 in Spanish. It’s a guaranteed hit! 🎉
Download the step-by-step instructions below to make teaching even easier. Start slow—practice the hand movements without the music at first, then once they’ve mastered it, turn up the song! The song repeats four times, so I recommend keeping it simple by having your students face you the entire time—this way, they can enjoy the dance without getting confused by changing directions. Get ready for some serious fun and learning! |

Share Your Wins!
Every time we get your WINS AND SUCCESSES in our inbox, we can’t help but do a little happy dance — to "Don't Stop Believing" or "La Bamba" of course! Why? Because success doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Your wins are our wins, and they’re proof for others that when you do the work, you get results.
Whether your students are finally beginning to repeat or sing in Spanish along with the online videos, or say random words in Spanish throughout the day, or teachers are feeling more confident carrying out the follow-up activities, or parents are sharing that their child is saying words in Spanish at home — we want to hear your wins BIG and small!
Celebrating you always,
Theresa & Team HOLA
