APRIL Week 4: EASY Review ACTIVITIES
Hey there teachers!
Below are several engaging activities that will enhance your students' Spanish learning experience. They will learn the words for clothing, put on a fashion show, play a memory game with bugs, and show off their artistic talents. If you are short on time this week, simply select one activity or present the digital lesson only. Don't worry – focusing on the digital lesson alone will still showcase you as the wonderful Spanish teacher!

1. Clothing & fashion Show: 15 minutes
Supplies Needed: Download and print off the clothing visuals.
Present the Fashion Show video lesson to your students for this week. Afterwards, inform them that they will all get a chance to participate in a similar Fashion Show activity. To begin, have the children each choose a clothing picture, which they will then showcase during the fashion show. Arrange the students at the back of the room in the order below. Play the audio file and prompt the students to strut their stuff as models on a runway when they hear their clothing item announced. For added flair, consider setting up your classroom to resemble a fashion show runway. Capture photos of your models in action! You can opt to have two or three students showcase the same clothing item simultaneously or repeat the activity multiple times to ensure everyone has the opportunity to shine as a runway model.
ORDER OF MODELS: 1. a shirt (una camisa) 2. pants (pantalones) 3. shorts (pantalones cortos) 4. a skirt (una falda) 5. socks (calcetines) 6. shoes (zapatos) |

2. CLOTHING coloring sheet: 10 minutes
Supplies Needed: Download and print off the clothing "Ropa" coloring sheet. Let your student color away. Encourage them to say the clothing items in Spanish as they color them!
3. memory game with bugs: 10 minutes
Supplies Needed: Print two sets of the insect pictures. You can either play with two sets of the large visuals, two sets of the small visuals, one set of the large and one set of the small visuals, or for older students who are starting to read, you can play with one set of the large or small visuals and one set of the word flashcards.
Memory game is not only fun but also great for exercising your memory! First things first. Lay out all the cards face down on a flat surface in a grid formation. The grid should be organized so that it's easy to remember where each card is placed. Now, let's get ready to play! The objective of the game is to match pairs of identical clothing items. On each turn, a player flips over two cards. If the two cards match, the player gets to keep the pair and gets another turn. If the cards don't match, they are flipped back over, and it becomes the next player's turn.
Remind your students that they will need to use their memory to remember where each clothing item is located! Tell them to pay close attention to the cards that are flipped over throughout the game to increase your chances of making successful matches. The game continues until all pairs of clothing items have been matched. The player with the most pairs at the end of the game wins! Get ready to have some fun while exercising your brain!

4. bugs coloring sheets: 10 minutes each
Your picasso artist students will enjoy coloring the bugs they are learning how to say in Spanish. Have them practice saying the names of the bugs before, during, and after they are done coloring them. Snap a picture of one of the finished works of art and send it home on your app for parents to see! When you send their finished masterpieces home, coach your students to teach their parents and family members how to say the names of the bugs in Spanish!
Share Your Wins!
Every time we get your WINS AND SUCCESSES in our inbox, we can’t help but do a little happy dance — to "Don't Stop Believing" or "La Bamba" of course! Why? Because success doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Your wins are our wins, and they’re proof for others that when you do the work, you get results.
Whether your students are finally beginning to repeat or sing in Spanish along with the online videos, or say random words in Spanish throughout the day, or teachers are feeling more confident carrying out the follow-up activities, or parents are sharing that their child is saying words in Spanish at home — we want to hear your wins BIG and small!
Celebrating you always,
Theresa & Team HOLA
