Shownotes:It's becoming more common in the United States to introduce children to a second language at an early age. In this Podcast I share the top 10 ways children benefit from learning a second language. Some of the benefits are short term, and others are long term. If you're a Childcare Owner or Director and you offer a second language at your center, or you are thinking about adding a second language, you'll want to download the Top Ten List below. Share the list with parents and stakeholders to reinforce the importance and benefits of children learning a second language at your center, and use the handout as a marketing tool to attract more families to your center.Enjoy the Podcast episode! I love that kids learn Spanish naturally and effortlessly when provided with a fun curriculum and a positive learning environment. I also love that Spanish can literally be added to any childcare center and taught by your teachers, even if they don't know any Spanish. Most importantly, I’m laying out this episode so that you can compete with Spanish immersion and dual immersion centers and no longer lose clients to them. In this epidote I include specific examples of exactly how to teach three compliment words in Spanish, and make a positive impact with parents. By your teachers teaching a Spanish lesson just like the one provided to you with this Podcast episode, they are setting the foundation for something they can teach again and again, gaining confidence in themselves as "Spanish teachers", and setting you up for the option of charging parents over and over for Spanish, which I will cover in an upcoming Podcast. After you listen to this Podcast episode, you'll want to download the Mini-Spanish Lesson and Vocabulary Poster that are included below. You'll also want to watch (and have your teachers watch) the Teacher Training Video below in which I walk them through, step-by-step, how to teach the activity. Below is also a Video to Show Your Students in which I teach the lesson to them. Enjoy this Podcast episode and also beginning to teach Spanish at your childcare center!
