Activities in Spanish in August Lesson:
-Sing the nursery rhyme "Where Is Thumbkin" in Spanish called "Pulgarcito"
-Learn the names for the fingers, label fingers with flash cards, draw faces on fingers
-Act out the dialogue in the song "Pulgarcito"
-Recognize and say the names of 16 swimming vocabulary words
-Play "Beach Pictionary" by drawing pictures in sand and guessing in Spanish
-Act out being at the beach and at the swimming pool
-Play "Parachute Game" by using a towel to bounce ball and count or say beach vocabulary
-Play "Limbo at the Beach" by doing the "Limbo and racing to find picture of vocabulary word
-Play "Sand Darts" using sea shells and sand play darts and practice numbers in Spanish
-Listen to and guess animal sounds in Spanish and English
-Understand and say the names of 8 animals in Spanish
-Learn and sing a song about farm animals
-Act like the animal that you hear and name the animal's footprints you land on
-Record and guess animal sounds

Where is Thumpkin "Pulgarcito"
"Pulgarcito" is a nursery rhyme that most children are familia with in English so it is easy for them to learn i Spanish.
