Week 2: Review
This week make Spanish all about FUN! Play Bingo (Lotería) in Spanish using the Halloween vocabulary that you learned in the last lesson. In order to prepare you and your students to play "Lotería" in Spanish, be sure to watch the virtual lesson for this week (00-13:07) in which I explain step-by-step, exactly how to play.
You will also need to do the following:
If you don't have Bingo Chips, you can use anything small, buttons, cheerios, raisins, anything that is safe for your students and will fit in the squares.
After watching the virtual lesson, (00-13:07), pass out the BINGO cards and chips. Start by telling your students to cover their FREE or LIBRE squares. Also tell them how they will win the game; by covering 4 corners, 5 in a row or a coverall.
Hold up one Halloween picture at a time and use the phrases in Spanish that you learned in the Virtual Lesson and that are on the poster below. Encourage your students to answer in Spanish if they have or do not have a picture on their Lotería card. You can play again and again throughout the month!
You can also have your students take turns calling the Halloween vocabulary-they will love to be in charge of the game!
You will also need to do the following:
- Download the 6 BINGO cards below (print enough copies for your class)
- Download the Halloween visuals below
- Gather Bingo Chips or Tokens "las fichas"

You can help your students share about their own family with the help of the family tree handout to the right. (Print a copy for each student and for yourself.) Begin by completing the handout with your own family members. Draw the faces for each family member in the circles and tell the class who they are in Spanish. "Mi abuelo", "Mi papá" etc.
Next, pass out the family tree worksheet to your students. Let them draw pictures of their own family members in the circles. Students can take turns sharing their family tree using the new vocabulary words Spanish! |

Kids love doing this worksheet because they get to count how many classroom objects are in each picture and then write the number in the box.
First do the worksheet as a whole class. Next let each students complete their own worksheet. Send the completed worksheets home with your student home for parents to see! |
Here's a fun Halloween "Connect the Dots" coloring sheet your students will love! Print it off and pass it out for your kiddos to complete! Use it to practice counting and reading/repeating Halloween vocabulary in Spanish!
