1. CLASSROOM OBJECTS (10 MINUTES)

It's easy to review classroom objects in Spanish by playing the audio file below and showing the pictures of the visuals as they are taught. Encourage your students to repeat and sing the words aloud in Spanish along with the audio file. If teach older student who are learning to read, help them match the pictures with the flashcards.

2. CLASSROOM OBJECT COUNTING SHEET (10 MINUTES)

Kids love doing this worksheet because they get to count how many classroom objects are in each picture and then write the number in the box. First do the worksheet as a whole class. Next let each students complete their own worksheet. Send the completed worksheets home with your student home for parents to see!

 3. Review the family with preschoolers & older: (15 minutes)

This activity is age-appropriate for preschoolers and older but will not work well with toddlers. You will help your preschool and older students share about their own family with the help of the family tree handout below. (Print a copy for each student and for yourself.) Begin by completing the handout with your own family members as the students watch you. Draw the faces for each family member in the circles and tell the class who they are in Spanish. "Mi abuelo", "Mi papá" etc. "Mi" pronounced (mee) means "My".

Next, pass out the family tree worksheet to your students. Let them draw pictures of their own family members in the circles. Students can take turns sharing their family tree using the new vocabulary words Spanish!

                                                   Share Your Wins!

Every time we get your WINS  AND SUCCESSES in our inbox, we can’t help but do a little happy dance — to "Don't Stop Believing" or "La Bamba" of course! Why? Because success doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Your wins are our wins, and they’re proof for others that when you do the work, you get results.

Whether your students are finally beginning to repeat or sing in Spanish along with the online videos,  or say random words in Spanish throughout the day, or teachers are feeling more confident carrying out the follow-up activities, or parents are sharing that their child is saying words in Spanish at home — we want to hear your wins BIG and small!

Celebrating you always,
Theresa & Team HOLA
