Jobs
After watching the video for February Week 3, play the audio file below entitled, "The Man Is a Mail Carrier". While pointing to the pictures, repeat the names of the jobs along with the audio file, and try your best to make the sound effects for each job. Remember the audio file uses the following vocabulary:
"El hombre es" this means "The man is"
"La mujer es" this means "The woman is"
Does anyone in your family have one of these jobs? If so, tell them what their job is, in Spanish!
You can turn learning jobs into a game by playing charades. Take turns acting out or making the sounds of the different jobs, and the rest of the class has to guess the job in Spanish, if possible. Tell your students it is okay for them to respond in English, if they cannot recall how to say the profession in Spanish, then help them say the job in Spanish together with you.

Happy Birthday Song in Spanish
In my Spanish classes, I play the birthday song over and over. Each time we pretend it is a different student's birthday and we plug their name into the song. Children love singing this joyful tune, especially when everyone pretends it is their birthday and their name is sung during the song!
