Week 1: Review
Rules
Print off this rules poster and display it in your classroom or home as a visual reminder to practice the rules in Spanish everyday. Soon you and your students will naturally say the rules in Spanish!
Make a rules "bonus jar" Every time a student says a rule in Spanish add a marble or a cotton ball to the jar. When the jar is full, celebrate their good behavior combined with speaking Spanish by throwing a classroom party or with a movie and popcorn or extra recess time. (Let your student suggest a reward.) |
Compliments
Another way to practice Spanish in your classroom or home is to print off this compliments poster and display it as a reminder to compliment each other in Spanish everyday. Soon you and your students will naturally say the compliments in Spanish!

Week 2: Review
Your students can practice numbers 1-12 by taping the numbered feathers onto Pepe el Pavo. Start by downloading the picture of Pepe and his feathers which are below. After printing them, laminate them so you can use them over again. Tape the picture of Pepe to the wall within your students reach. Let them take turns taping Pepe's feather's on him and matching the numbers while counting outlaid in Spanish.
La Macarena Dance
Children and adults enjoy dancing "La Macarena". Here you have the tools to sing and dance to the famous song in Spanish while practicing numbers 1-12. The two handouts below give you the actions to the songs and the dance moves.

8. Scroll down to song #20: "Matemáticas de Macarena" You will be able to preview the song which is enough to sing and dance the song one time through. You can replay the preview to sing it and dance it more time.NOTE: If you have Apple Music you can play the song for free. The song is called, "Matemáticas de Macarena" by Dr. Jean.

This week create a bulletin board of dishes and silverware using the visuals below. They are downloadable. The flashcards are included too. Use the bulletin board as a short review lesson everyday to remind your students how to say the words.

Set the Table!
In the virtual lesson you watched Señora Theresa set the table to a mom and dad singing the song, "La Mesa". The lyrics are below. Play the song files and use real dishes to take turns setting the table in Spanish. One child can put the plates on the table, another child can put the napkins on the table and so forth. Be sure to compliment your students in Spanish! What a wonderful accomplishment to be able to set the table in a second language!

Thanksgiving Food
You can review Thanksgiving food with your students. Play the audio file and the slideshow. Model for the kids to repeat the words in Spanish.
You can review polite phrases below with your students. Then at mealtime model for them to ask for food and beverages in Spanish. Print the poster and display it near where you eat as a visual reminder to use simple these phrases everyday!
