1. Father's Day song: time 10 minutes
Supplies Needed: A copy of the Father's Day Song lyrics. Download and print them. Laminate them if you can.
Get ready for a blast! Start by watching the cool Father's Day Song segment from this week's video lesson. Be sure to all do the actions that accompany the song, it makes the song easier to learn and more fun too! Next, have your students help you match the Spanish and English song lyrics. (Psst, they're color-coded for an easier match!) I usually display them on a wall in my classroom, creating a month-long musical masterpiece for whenever we listen to the song.

2. Father's Day Card: time 20 minutes
Supplies Needed: A copy of a Father's Day Card for each of your students. Below are two cards to choose from. You will want to print the cards so they are 2-sided. You will fold the cards just like a greeting card.
Next, unveil the magical Father's Day cards. Dive into the details of each card, especially the spot for a special drawing of them and their dad. Let your imagination run wild - they could sketch playing catch, gaming, reading, or chilling at the park with their pops! I usually sketch a park scene with my dad to give them an artistic nudge. Oh, and don't forget to show off your mad coloring skills with the numbers 1-10. Hand out the cards and let the coloring fiesta begin!
Each kiddo should proudly take their Father's Day creation home and surprise their dad on the big day - Father's Day is just around the corner! If a kiddo mentions not having a dad, get creative and suggest making the card for a grandpa or a fun uncle instead. Let the artsy celebrations begin!

2. Father's Day Card compliments: time 10 minutes
Supplies Needed: A copy of a the compliments poster. Download and print it off. Display it in your classroom. You can say these compliments for this activity and everyday of the year!
Next up, it's time to spread some card love! Practice praising each other's masterpieces, just like in the video lesson this week. You can play the audio file of the compliments to get your kid's brains warmed up. The audio file is below. Be sure to encourage your students to say these compliments all year long to each other, making your classroom one-step closer to being a bilingual classroom!

Every time we get your WINS AND SUCCESSES in our inbox, we can’t help but do a little happy dance — to "Don't Stop Believing" or "La Bamba" of course!
Why? Because success doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Your wins are our wins, and they’re proof for others that when you do the work, you get results.
Whether your students are finally beginning to repeat or sing in Spanish along with the digital lessons, or say words in Spanish during the day, or teachers are feeling more confident carrying out the Easy Review Activities, or parents are sharing that their child is speaking Spanish at home — we want to hear your wins BIG and small!
Celebrating you always,
Theresa & Team HOLA
