Happy Father's Day!
In class we'll learn how to say; "Happy Father's Day" in Spanish. We'll also learn a beautiful Father's Day song that children can sing to their dad or grandpa. Your child might bring home a Father's Day card in Spanish too! Click on the audio file below and listen to and sing the lyrics!

Compliments

In Spanish class we are all about learning compliments in English and in Spanish!
Our June compliments are:
That's nice! ¡Qué bueno!
That's cool! ¡Qué padre!
You're good at coloring! ¡Coloreas bien!
Good Spanish! ¡Buen español!
Fruit Vocabulary
In June fresh fruit is abundant so it makes sense for your children and for you mom and dad to learn how to say different fruit words in Spanish! Please see the list below:
the fruit: la fruta
the apple: la manzana
the cantaloupe: el melón
the orange: la naranja
the watermelon: la sandía
the banana: la banana

At the Playground
Springtime is the perfect time to bring your children to to the park or a local playground. In Spanish class we learn how to say the names of playground equipment in Spanish and also phrases that accompany the playground equipment like, Go down the slide!"
Here is a list of playground equipment in Spanish:

the slide: el tobogán
the swing: el columpio
the monkey bars: las barrars
the sandbox: la caja de arena
the pail: el cubo
the shovel: la pala
the see-saw: la subibaja
the merry-go-round: el tiovivo
the trike: el triciclo

Days of the Week
