Spanish in July at a Glance
The Spanish Video lessons this month are very relevant to real-life! Week 1 starts you off learning 4th of July vocabulary. You will play a game and also pretend you are going to a 4th of July parade and at night watching fireworks!
The Spanish Video lessons in July also teach the alphabet. We begin by learning the famous childhood song: "There Was A Farmer Had a Dog..." in Spanish. Children LOVE this song and they get very good at saying the letters B-I-N-G and O because they repeat them several times.
Next we'll practice the colors in Spanish and we'll even learn how to spell the colors using the Spanish alphabet. A fun game we'll play is finding flower petals of a certain color and retuning them to the matching flower :-)
Blowing bubbles outside is something most children do during the summer months so we'll learn how say "Bubble" and "Blow" and Break the bubbles in Spanish!
Lastly, we'll learn common food that we tend to eat when we go on a picnic or have backyard barbecue. We'll play the game "How Potato", we'll learn how to politely order and ask for food and we'll play the game I invented called: "Flyswatter!" in which we take turns swatting flies that land on our picnic food :-(
It is truly a highlight for me to be able to teach Spanish to children through our Membership Site! I hope you get to learn some Spanish too!
Señora Theresa
P.S. Please let us know suggestions on how we can make the Membership Site even better to serve you and the children in your lives! Gracias!

If you'd like to review the song BINGO from the video lesson it's easy! First download the PDF below so you have all of the BINGO VISUALS. Also download the song "BINGO" from iTunes.
Next, tell your students or children that they get to review the song BINGO that they practiced while watching the video lesson. Explain that just as they saw in the video, they are going to sing the song about BINGO the dog which involves spelling and clapping to the letters in his name.
Show the class the letters in his name. On one side of each page is a letter and on the reverse side is a picture of hands clapping. Lay the letters on the floor so they spell his name. For extra help, before playing the song you can play Spanish in July CD Track 4. It will teach you and your students the song lyrics and prepare you to sing the song! Next, play the song that you downloaded from iTunes.
