1. Game: put the flag on...
This is a wonderful review activity after watching the digital lesson Parts 1, 2 and 3.
Materials Needed: Print the PDF download file that includes the American flags and pictures and flashcards of 4th of July vocabulary. Laminate them if you can and cut them into individual pictures. Tape them to the wall as I did in the video lesson. Make enough copies of the American flag for your classroom. You will hand one to each student. You will play the audio file below to help you carry out the game!

After watching the digital lesson Parts 1, 2, and 3, you are ready to play this game in your classroom! Tape the 4th of July pictures on a wall in your classroom just as I do in the video. Review how to say the vocabulary words on the pictures. (The pronunciation key is included on the pictures to help you!) Next, explain that you will play the American Flag game just like in the video Part 3.
Hand out the American flag cards and tell your students to listen to the audio file. Pause the audio file after each command. Then call on a student or several students to tape their American flag to the correct picture based on what they listened to. Remember to drop hints if a student gets stuck to keep the fun and success levels soaring high!
To challenge older students, have them match the flashcards with the pictures. The flashcards are included in the download file.

Be sure to guide your students to march to the correct picture based on what the audio files tells you that you are seeing. The audio will have you marching, singing, and having fun in Spanish during a make-believe 4th of July parade!
3. COLORING SHEETs
Materials Needed: Download the coloring sheets below and break out the crayons, markers, or paints!
What child doesn't enjoy coloring? For an easy review activity have your kiddos color the 4th of July coloring sheets. Decide whether your students will color one or two sheets, or better yet, bind them into a fancy book! The first page is the cover and translates as: "My 4th of July book" and the last page translates as "Happy 4th of July"!
These sheets are like a magical echo of the words your students are introduced to in the digital lesson, making for a fantastic recap! While your little ones get artsy, hit play on the digital lesson again or pop on the audio files included above in the background for a Spanish review. Whether you send these masterpieces home or showcase them on your classroom walls, you'll be flaunting your squad of emerging bilingual superstars!
