Spanish in September
Bilingual Beginnings

Dear Parents,

Get ready for an exciting start to our September Spanish classes! We've got a lineup of fun and engaging activities planned that your child is sure to love. This month, we'll be diving into topics like Classroom Rules, asking "What is your name?", giving Compliments, Taking Attendance, Numbers, and asking "How are you?" Plus, we'll be singing along to the lively and familiar tune, "The Wheels on the Bus" — all in Spanish!

To give you a glimpse into what your child is learning, check out the pictures and vocabulary posters below. You can also listen to some fun audio files to get a feel for the lively Spanish atmosphere we're creating. If you have a moment, we encourage you to review Spanish with your child at home using these resources. Let’s make this September a fantastic start to your child's Spanish learning journey!

What is your name?

September is the perfect month to learn how to ask, “What is your name?” It’s the start of a new academic year, and with new students and teachers to meet, it's the ideal time to practice introductions in Spanish! To the right, you’ll find the poster we’re using in class to teach the kids how to ask and say their names in Spanish. Feel free to download the poster and play the audio file to practice with your child at home!
