April Week 2: Easy Review Activities
Hey parents!
Below are some easy and fun activities to help you review what you watched in the video lesson with your kids. Check out the Easter egg activity in which you'll pretend to cal the bunny who will help you and your kids learn how to say the colors in Spanish. Then let your kids show off their artistic talents by coloring the coloring sheets below. Finally, learn the actions and lyrics to the goodbye song together. Once you learn it, you can end every Spanish lesson and every school day on a bilingual note, with that song!
Let’s play a game!
1. Game: Colors: 15 Minutes
Supplies Needed: Before class take a trip to dollar store to buy two Easter basket and three sets of plastic eggs in the following colors if possible; green, blue, pink, purple, yellow and orange. If you don’t have time to buy these items, you can use a basket you have on hand and the pictures of eggs below. Just download, copy, laminate, and cut out several eggs of each color. Be sure to download the picture of the Easter bunny too. Also, you will want to have your mobile phone with you to use as a prop.

Before carrying out this silly activity, be sure to listen to the audio file first. You will pretend to call the Easter bunny who will help you and your students learn the colors in Spanish. Use your imagination and acting skills to really get into character with this activity and your students will be very engaged! When you are ready, play the audio. It will guide you through spilling the basket full of eggs, then calling the Easter Bunny who speaks Spanish. As you are pretending to talk with the Easter bunny, hold up his picture below. The bunny will teach you and your students how to say the colors of the eggs in Spanish.
Finally, direct the kids to gather the eggs by color and put them back in the basket. Be sure they say the color of the eggs in Spanish. To make this more fun, let a child wear a rabbit headband and be in charge of holding the basket while the other kids place the eggs inside.
This is what you'll hear on the audio file:

2. Coloring Sheets: 10 Minutes Each
Supplies Needed: Download and print copies of the coloring sheets for your students. Crayons, colored pencils, magic markers, or paints
I like to color one copy of a coloring sheet as my students watch and I talk them through it. Then I tape my colored copy up for all to refer to as they are coloring. This ensures that there minimal questions from my students. To make coloring the two sheets below more exciting, play the audio file from Activity 1 again in which the Easter bunny is called to help learn how say the color words in Spanish.

adiós
3. Goodbye Song: 5 Minutes
A wonderful way to end every Spanish lesson and every school day is with this song that is on YouTube called, "Adiós" by María Fernanda Y sus amigos. The song repeats 4 times. In the digital lesson above, I show you how I put actions to the song to make it more fun and engaging for kinesthetic learners.
